Above All Else - Part 2: The Journey The next day, at around 11:30 or so, Fluttershy found herself preparing to meet up with Rainbow Dash, just as they agreed. Since she didn’t know where the two of them were going or how long they were going to be gone, she had asked for Twilight and Spike to come over and watch over her animal friends while the two of them were away. When the two of them had arrived at her cottage, Fluttershy couldn’t help but feel guilty; she felt that she was pulling Twilight away from her studies to help her at the last minute.
“I’m really sorry to ask you to help me on such short notice,” said the yellow Pegasus, lowering her head in shame, “I didn’t know we would be leaving town so soon and...”
“It’s no trouble at all, Fluttershy,” said Twilight as she gave her a reassuring smile, “That’s what friends are for, right?”
Clouds They found themselves lying on the grass outside of their clubhouse staring at the blue sky overhead. It was Saturday, so they didn’t have any school that day. Because of this, the Cutie Mark Crusaders had agreed to meet at the clubhouse to try out some new ways to earn their Cutie Marks. However, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle found themselves waiting for Apple Bloom to arrive so they can begin their escapades for the day.
“How much longer?” asked Scootaloo as she stared, blankly, at the sky.
“A little while, I hope,” said Sweetie Belle, “She just has a few chores to finish up around the farm. When she’s done, she said she’ll meet us here. At least, that’s what she said when I went to go get her.”
Scootaloo moaned in annoyance and rolled onto her side. “What are we even doing here,
Above All Else - Part 1: The Invitation The sun slowly peeked through the window of Fluttershy’s cottage, causing the yellow Pegasus to stir in her bed. She turned to her side, her pink mane covering her eyes as she did, trying to stay asleep for just a little while longer. However, she slightly opened her eyes when she heard small noises coming from beside her bed.
When she opened her eyes, she saw that a few squirrels and some small bunnies were beginning to converge by her bedside, looking up at her with hopeful eyes. When she saw them, she couldn’t help but smile at them. Then, she sat up and let out a small yawn while stretching her fore-hooves.
“Okay, okay,” she said softly to the small animals that were there, “I’ll get you all your breakfast.”
Hearing exactly what they wanted to hear, the small animals dispersed and began heading to the main room downstairs. When they were all gone, Fluttershy got out of bed and made her way to her window. Wh
The Five Heroes - Chapter 7Chapter 7: Investigations
Slowly and with much caution in their movements, the five of them began to move towards the downed machine. The yellow fluids still oozed out of the gaping hole on the side of it, splattering and darkening the sand beneath it. As they slowly approached the machine, the five of them investigated it, making sure that there was no power left in the machine; the last thing they needed was for the pod to reactivate and catch them off guard.
“Do you think it’s safe to touch it?” asked Sailor Moon as she looked at the blackened windows on the front of the pod.
“Let’s make sure this thing is down before we make a move on it,” suggested Kim, “For all we know, it might try and pull a fast one on us.”
Mew hovered over the top of the machine, looking closely at the holes where the missiles had fired from. He got as close to them as possible, looking at the holes from all angles he could muster. Soon, he flew right
The Five Heroes - Chapter 6Chapter 6: Encounter
They all stood frozen in fear at the thing that was hovering above them, slowly descending from the sky. It looked like a silver and gold oval pod. Its main body was all silver with what appeared to be blackened windows on the front. The bottom portion had gold-plated boosters, which emitted small jets of flame from them, allowing it to slowly descend to the ground. There were small doors coming from the sides of the machine, many of them too small to allow a person in or out.
The five of them stared as the machine slowly made its way to meet their gaze. When it was at a reasonable eye level, they saw that the machine was almost as big as they were; it wasn’t all that big in height, but it made up for it in length. Behind the machine were also gold-plated boosters; no doubt used to allow it to move forward.
Soon, the machine began to circle around them. As it did, the nose of the pod opened and a small beam of blue light shot out at them. When
The Five Heroes - Chapter 5Chapter 5: Sightings
The five of them continued to walk in the same direction as the sun beat down upon them mercilessly. They didn't know how long they were walking or how far they had gone since they started, but there was one thing all of them were absolutely sure of: no matter how far they went or how long they traveled, there wasn’t a single sign of anyone around.
Sonic looked ahead of the group at the horizon, trying to see if there was anything out there, anything that could help them even to protect them from the heat of the sun. Unfortunately, there was nothing, not even a hill on the horizon.
As they continued to walk, Kim kept a close look on the horizons on either side of them, doing the same as the anthropomorphic blue hedgehog. However, her findings of anything were just as unsuccessful as his were.
"I hate to be so negative," she said aloud to the others, “But I’m getting the feeling that this is nothing but a waste of time. There’s not
